Onion Plant

Crinum Thaianum, the true Onion Plant, grows from a bulb that looks exactly like its namesake and sends up long twisting ribbon leaves that can stretch well past the waterline given enough time and tank height. It's an absolute tank in terms of durability, thriving across a huge range of water parameters and lighting conditions while barely asking for fertilization once established. The leaves have a natural spiral twist that adds movement and texture unlike any stem plant, making it a striking centerpiece or background statement. Slow to establish from the bulb, but once rooted it's essentially a lifetime plant that just keeps growing taller.
