Pearl Weed

Pearl Weed, or Hemianthus micranthemoides, is the tiny-leafed stem plant that bushes out into a dense green thicket almost overnight once it settles into a tank. Its small round leaves branch out fast along thin stems, making it just as useful as a background bush or trimmed into a low carpet if you're willing to keep after it with scissors. It wants decent light and steady CO2 to really pack in tight, otherwise it grows leggy and stretched with noticeable gaps between nodes. Cuttings root easily wherever they land, so a single healthy stem can turn into a full colony with barely any effort.
