Narrow-leaf Vallisneria is the classic background grass plant that shoots up long ribbon blades fast, ideal for creating a swaying jungle backdrop or hiding equipment along the back glass. It spreads aggressively through runners, sending up new shoots across the substrate until you've got a thick vally forest without much effort on your part. Tolerant of a wide range of hardness and lighting, it's one of the easiest plants to keep alive, though it can get finicky about liquid carbon products which tend to melt the leaves. Trim the tips if it outgrows your tank height, it'll just keep pushing new growth regardless.
